Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is a British and American sitar player. She also plays music. She was the first person within her age bracket to receive the British House of Commons Staff. Anoushka Shankar is an emerging young star of the Indian sitar. She's the child of Ravi Shankar and a former student. Born in London in 1982, and was a young girl who travelled from London as well as New Delhi. At New Delhi, she made her debut when she was only thirteen years of age. Later she moved into Encinitas CA where she graduated from High School with honours in 1999. Anouskha is an aspiring young lady, however she's got an remarkable career in the field of singing and recording. For a long time she performs regularly alongside her father. Her debut solo album, Anourag, was released in 1998. The album was titled Live at Carnegie Hall, a Grammy-nominated album a year following. Since she's performed at many of the biggest stages around the world, her career on stage has been expansive. Her career extends beyond the realm of music.
